Happy New Year, Wanderers!

It’s New Year’s Day 2026 and I’m excited to wish you a Happy New Year! As we welcome 2026, I wanted to check in and share how grateful I am for this community.

Run. Wander. Wear. started in 2024 and I am so thrilled for the foundation this community is built on. I created this blog to help other women see a clear path to balance marathon training, their busy lives and run the races of their dreams. It’s still that and also I’ve found a way to support charity runners with their fundraising goals. As the needs of everyday runners shifts, I am excited to catch you where you’re at.

A Few Highlights from 2025

I added 60 blog posts this year! Here are some of the more memorable posts from 2025.

2025 Bingo Card Updates

I started off the year by creating a 2025 bingo card to highlight an alternate to New Years Resolutions. It was such a fun way to explore new adventures and I highly recommend trying it! Some of the highlights included visiting Boston and Kansas City for the first time (and visiting two more MLB stadiums) and hosting a Lakefront bar crawl.

Fundraising Checklist

I am known as a “fundraising subject matter expert” in my running community because I love helping other runners help reach their fundraising goals. I have a lot of ideas and I’ve wanted to find a way to showcase this to other runners.

In December I created the Charity Runner Checklist to offer a guide for runners looking to run a marathon for charity. My goal is to support these runners through the process of picking a charity, setting up their fundraising page and simple ideas to ask for donations. I include weekly fundraising ideas in my newsletter so they always have something to post.

Run. Wander. Where?

I’m running my 13th marathon in 2026 and thought it would be fun to post clues focused on which city will host the race. I’m a fan of making creative marathon announcements. It started with the initial post, 13 clues over 6 days and the big announcement on November 13th.

Press-on Nail Expert

This summer I started writing a post about marathon manicures and tested press-ons as a suggested option. I kind of went down a rabbit hole testing different brands and application methods. I didn’t set out to be a “press-on influencer” but it’s been a fun way to support this subculture in the running community.

London Marathon

This year was so incredible! I ran another international marathon and traveled to the UK for the first time for the London Marathon in April. We stayed a few extra days to see the city (Stonehenge was incredible and only an hour outside the city).

The Best of 2025

One of the things I’ve truly loved about starting this blog is how I’ve leveled up my skills with creating a website, digital marketing strategies and how to review analytics. With that said, I created this post to highlight the best of 2025! Here are the top 10 posts of 2025!

Will 2026 Be a Good Year?

I have so much planned for 2026! I’m running my 6th Chicago Marathon for a charity (Imerman Angels) this year. I’m hoping to visit another country and get another stamp in my passport. I’m thinking of Paris, but also open to other ideas.

I also am carrying on my tradition of a bingo card for another year and whether or not I get a bingo, I know it will be such a rewarding experience. In 2026, I am looking forward to hosting a clothing swap party, seeing a few new bands and trying a few more new restaurants.
