It’s New Year’s Day 2025 and I’m excited to wish you a Happy New Year! As we welcome 2025, I wanted to check in and share how grateful I am to for this community.

Run. Wander. Wear. was born in 2024. I had an itch to start it for months and I sat on the fence, scared to launch something so vulnerable. After a few sleepless nights inspired by how I could not only publish, but market this blog, I kicked off the launch in May with my first post.

Talking about my love for running has been a passion of mine long before I started writing about it. I volunteered as a pacer for Chicago Endurance Sports for the seven years, so I’ve spent thousands of hours chatting with runners. While initially I wanted to break out of this niche, I know a lot about it.
And I’ve traveled for quite a few races and I’ve learned a lot. Sharing my experiences has been a great way to give back to the running community and I’m honored to have this platform to pass it on (with a few fashion tips too). I’ve loved sharing my favorite makeup finds too, including my signature eyeshadow look (you can get it too with the eyeshadow pencils from Julep Beauty).
2024 in a Nutshell
This past year brought so many great adventures. I traveled to Europe for the first time and ran the Berlin Marathon (after a fun marathon announcement for my mom). We traveled to Hawaii for a friend’s wedding. Hawaii in February is such an escape from the cold Chicago winters and it was such a dream.
Brian and I visited San Francisco for his goal of visiting all 30 MLB stadiums. We visited so many legendary sites in San Francisco as well as seeing the last season of Oakland A’s baseball in the Collusium.
I also started coaching with Fleet Feet Chicago through Chicago Endurance Sports to motivate runners to their marathon goals (and hit their fundraising goals). I loved getting to meet even more runners, hear about their vacations and summer adventures. It made it even more special to see them cross the finish line at the Chicago Marathon. Seeing them fundraise and hit their goals keeps inspiring me to try new things, like running the Chicago 13.1 in June for Girls on the Run Chicago.
Will 2025 Be A Good Year?
I have so much planned for this new year! I’m running the London Marathon this year! I’m excited to visit another country and get another stamp in my passport. If you have any tips or recommendations for where we should go when we’re in London, let me know in the comments!
I also am carrying on my tradition of a bingo card this year and whether or not I get a bingo, I know it will be a really fun and rewarding experience. I am looking forward to running a race in a costume, having a clothing swap party and trying a few more new restaurants.

I also plan on adding more content to the site, so check back for updates! And stay posted with the latest by checking out Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.
I have started planning goals and targets for the site’s performance. Treating this project like a business is exciting, and it’s coming together. Maybe this year I’ll work on creating a logo.
